Simpang Lima Gumul Monument
History of Simpang Lima Gumul Monument
Simpang Lima Monument Gumul Monument is the icon of Kediri Regency. Its shape resembles the Arc de Triomphe, which is located in Paris, France. If the Arc de Triomphe commemorates the fighters who died during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, the Simpang Lima Monument Gumul monument was inspired by King Jongko Joyoboyo. He was a reigning king in the 12th century who aspires to unite five districts in Kediri district.
The construction of the Simpang Lima Gumul Monument Monument began in 2003 and was inaugurated in the year 2008. Mr. Sutrisno, the regent of Kediri at the time, initiated to build this monument in Tugu Rejo village, Ngasem subdistrict, Kediri.( report by blog.airpaz.com)

Simpang Lima Gumul Monument is a crossroads that is a meeting point for five roads. In this junction area, built a magnificent monument with an architectural design inspired by the L'archde Triomphe monument in Paris. This monument is known as Simpang Lima Monument Gumul Monument until now, becomes a tourist icon in the area that is always crowded.
This is my first time to visit Kediri, I was with a group of friends visiting SLG or the most popular one called Simpang Gumul monument, this is our most beautiful experience where we can unwind at the edge of this building, a place that Spacious, airy, and crowded with visitors from various regions throughout Indonesia and the photo above is one of my photos when visiting there.
It is not only a large and cool field but the building has five underground tunnels to cross the road that surrounds the building from its center. Along this tunnel in a variety of photographs of tourism places in Kediri district, the photographs are also joined with a short story depicting the photographs, this is a very interesting place to visit.
