   A LITTLE ABOUT  TOBA LAKE 

       

        Lake Toba is a volcanic lake in the middle there is an island called Pulau Samosir. The lake is located in the center of North Sumatra province, and is surrounded by seven districts, namely the Districts of Samosir, Simalungun, Humbang Hasundutan, Dairi, Karo and Toba Samosir, and North Tapanuli.

       Lake Toba is very popular among domestic and foreign travelers. This is because Lake Toba is one of the largest lakes in Southeast Asia, which has a length of 87 kilometers, width of 27 kilometers, a height of 904 meters above sea level and a depth of 505 meters. This fact makes Indonesian people proud to have Lake Toba as a cultural heritage site.

        Around Lake Toba, you can visit Pusuk Buhit. This is one of the tourist attractions in Samosir that must be visited. Located on the island of Samosir, which is in the super volcano Toba. Pusuk Buhit is one of the active volcanoes. Has a height of about 1980 meters above sea level.

                                      

      

       This mountain is called by several villages such as Sianjur Mula, Samosir, and Pangururan. Now Pusuk Buhit is an attractive vacation destination in North Sumatra because it is famous for its urban stories. According to myth, Pusuk Buhit is the birthplace of the Batak tribe or the origin of the Batak tribe. Local people believe that Pusuk Buhit is the birthplace of the Batak King.

      Here there are a variety of activities that you can do. For example, you can visit Menara Tele which is the perfect place to watch the beautiful views of Lake Toba. In addition, there are other interesting places around it such as Aek Sipitu Dae, Batu Hobon, and so on.

The Short Story of the Lake Toba Legend

One day, there was a young man where Toba was fishing. Bait that he had thrown for a long time finally eaten by a fish. How surprised he was when he saw a gold scaly goldfish that he had gotten.

Finally Toba, who was happy to go home, but unfortunately all the firewood in his house was gone. He kept the fish in a large container and looked for firewood.

Toba came home with firewood, unfortunately the fish disappeared, he only found a container containing gold coins. When he entered his room there was a beautiful woman who was combing her hair.

The woman eventually became his wife, but with one condition, namely not to bring up the origin of him who is the incarnation of fish.

They were blessed with a boy named Samosir. Every day Toba worked hard for them both, but Samosir instead became a naughty and lazy child.

One time Samosir was asked to deliver food to his father, instead of going straight to the fields, he instead played with other friends. Even because he felt hungry he ate the food.

Toba, who was very hungry, did not wait for the lunch he had hoped for. Samosir arrived, but Toba was very angry because his son had finished all the food for him.

Angry Toba beat Samosir to utter the sentence ‘basic fish boy, to him. Then he complained to his mother, and his mother ordered Samosir to go up the hill, because Toba had broken his promise to not allow his mother's past.

A very heavy flood flooded the area, her mother jumped into it and became a fish again. His father who did not have time to save himself was drowned. Samosir turned into an island named Samosir Island surrounded by lakes named Lake Toba.The end! The conclusion of this short Lake Toba legend is, do not promise if you do not keep it, because the promise is arguably the debt that must be paid with the consequences.
